De-Loused
in the Comatorium is a conceptual album from a band called The Mars Volta. This
album is based on a story written by the singer of the band, Cedric
Bixler-Zavala, and the sound engineer, Jeremy Ward. The narration is about
Cerpin Taxt, a man that tries to commit suicide and has an overdose of morphine
that leaves him in a coma for one week. In that period he experiments a journey
into his own subconsciousness, and has all kind of visions about crazy and non
sense situations.
Is a very
special album because it has its own book too, and the story with the music
works very well. Is an intense work of art, the music can submerge audiences in
an atmosphere full of ups and downs, sometimes it inspires quietness, and then
suddenly it becomes aggressive, so is a very dynamic thing to ear.

It seems good. I'll listen to it. see you, pia!
ResponderEliminarIt sounds like a very interesting album. I want to search it in Google and try to read the book hearing the music!
