Fun in winter time.

This photograph shows my sister and me in winter time last year. The university was on strike so I spent so much time with her, and we took a lot of pictures together. In that time she was 1 year old, and she was adorable, well, she still is, but in that time we used to sleep together, play videogames (actually, she only looked at me playing, but she got so excited when I won hahaha), and also we used to cuddle all day!
I like this picture because it’s so sweet; I gave her those sneakers for her first birthday and she loved them. It’s so nice when she runs all over the house because the sneakers sound so cute with every little step she makes.

Now she´s 2 years old and still sleeps with me sometimes, she gets so mad when my mom comes to my bedroom to take her to her crib, she always wants to be with me, and I must say I love that!

My iPod

My favourite piece of technology is definitely mi iPod. I got my first iPod when I was fifteen, my parents gave it to me for my birthday, it was a pink iPod nano. That one lasted like three years, but it broke down. Then I was so in love with iPods, so I bought another one, a purple iPod nano. I have it since 2012, it has 16 GB so I can put all the music I want in it, I also use it to watch movies and as a recorder for interviews. I use it every day when I travel to the university, because I spend almost five hours daily in a bus, and I’m always listening to music. I think the thing I like the most about my iPod is the sound, I had lots of music players, but no one sounded like the iPod. I think music has make a lot of moments in my life much better than they would ever have been in silence,  lots of travels, walks, images have been defined by a song in particular. So, my life without my iPod would be probably less fun, less intense, because music is one fundamental part of it.

Vacation!

In my last vacation I stayed home the whole first month. I invited a cousin to come over and we had the greatest time. We sleep a lot, watched so many movies every day. Also we ate such a delicious things, like ice coffee, fajitas, burgers and many others! In february I went to Valdivia, I traveled alone but there was my grandma so I stayed with her. One day we went to a park where there was a lagoon full of lotus flowers and we saw a little turtle in the water! After two weeks in Valdivia, I went to Panguipulli with my family and we visit a lot of gorgeous places, but when we were coming back home, our car broke down and we finished the trip in a crane, it was funny because everyone looked at us in the road!

After a long time thinking about what to do with my life, I finally decided to study journalism in Universidad de Chile. I picked this university because I read that the approach was focused on the write journalism, and I want to work as a writer in a news paper or a magazine.
Now I am second year and I have four compulsory subjects, which are “Comunicación Interpersonal”, “Análisis de la Imagen Fija”, “Taller de Crónica y Entrevista” and “Inglés III”. Also I took two extracurricular subjects, one is “Historia Social Contemporánea” and the other (and my favorite) is “Pilates”.
Actually I am not part of other activities besides the classes in the university.
For this semester I expect to get good grades and work on my disposition to study, because I have a big problem of organization, most of the time I prefer watch movies than make my works. Also I want to learn as much as I can, squeeze every experience, not only academically speaking, but in all aspects of life.

My name is María Pía Fuenzalida, I’m nineteen years old and a live in a little town in south of Santiago called Paine. I was born in 1994 when my mother was only fifteen years old. With my family we lived in many places all over the country like Temuco, La Serena, Curicó and Copiapó, but when I was eight we moved to Paine and stayed there till today. I was an only child most of my life, but when I was seventeen my mom got pregnant and now I have a little sister named Isidora. I study journalism in Universidad de Chile and I want to work as a writter, maybe in a news paper or in a music magazine.
